Thanks-Giving Holiday

I can't wait to get out of school for the thanks-giving holiday break. Next week we get out of school on tuesday then the break is for wednesday, thursday, friday, and come back to school that monday. Im so ready to come home that i left school this friday because i go home evry other weekend and this is my week to come home. Im always homesick but I am really going to enjoy when we got out of school for the holiday. Around this time, my family and I all gather at my garndma nana's house and celebrate the holiday by eating good food, enjoying each other's company, and giviing thanks back. I wish that the break would be longer but I will still cherrish and enjoy the prescence of my family members. I can't wait to eat on that spicy cajuan turkey, with dressing with the cranberry sauce on top, ham, mac n chesse, greens, and the deserts. I am gong to eat so good this break, I might gain like 10 to 15 pounds. I love the desserts from sweet potatoe pies, lemon maraine pie, pecan pie, cake, and other sweets my family and I consume on thanks-giving holiday. And i will get a chance to watch some great football action as well. There can be no better combination than that excellent food and hard-hiting football action. My team the Cowboys play on this thanks-giving so I will be tuned into and cheer them on to victory because I still believe that the Cowboys are going to the Superbowl. But this is just an experience I can't wait to endeavour when the holiday come on and roll by because I'm so ready

My Favorite Comedians

I like watching funny movies, stand up comedies, and great comedians. Two of my favorite comedians are Dave Chapelle and Will Farell. These actors stand out the most to me. Dave Chapelle had a hit comedy series called Chapelle Show that had the whole world rolling wit laughter and entertainment. His shows use to be broadcasted on Comedy Central, but problems between him the company made him to go a different route. The company paid Chapelle fifty million dollars because of his show was such a success, making him the highest paid comedian ever. Every episode on Dave Chapelle's show taught a lesson and came out very amuzing. That was Chapelle's tactic, he mostly based his jokes on racism, but in a humorous way not in a racist way. But Chapelle hasn't put out any new material out lately, since the fall out between him and the producers at Comedy Central. Chapelle claimed that the company didn't fully give him total control of the skits that would be aired on TV. So reporters say that Chapelle just up and left leaving his co-comedians to host the unrealeased episodes that were very aired. I hope Dave Chapelle comes back ASAP comes the comedian game is the same without him. He had a talent that couldn't be matched and had the whole world buzzing. My other comedian that enjoy watching and laughing at is Will Farell. He got his start by acting skits out on NBC's historically famous show Saturday Night Live, which has been aired since the 1980's. Then Will Farell has been in hit-making comedic films every since. He has that it factor that makes him so unique. I have other comedians that I love to watch but these two are my favorites of all time.

First Black President

The big presidential election was on November 4, 2008. Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain both ran for office at the White House. This election was the biggest phenomenon in presidential election history. I became part of history because my voice was heard as I exercised my right to vote for democratic senator Barack Obama. Barack Obama made history by being the first black candidate to be nominated in either party. To be a good president you have to have honesty, integrity, intelligence, leadership, judgement, and patriotism. Obama possesses these qualities and that is what made him stand out to me. Race or color doesn't affect this election just because he's an African American. He won the elcetion and made history as being the first African American to serve as president. He became the 44th president of the United States. I didn't vote for him just because he's a black man, but because of what changes he intends to do for our country. Right now, the United States is in a recession. Foreclosure is at a record high, gas prices are as high as ever before, people can barely afford food on their tables, and college tuitions has skyrocketed. This affects the middle class such as my family. I think Obama stands for all races and will make change for everyone
