Almost Over
It's amzing and unbelieveable how the first semester of school is almost is over. These have been a fast 15 weeks of school. It especially goes by quicker when I only had classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a lab of Fridays. I have been going threw these school days with my boys on the 6th Floor. The buzz we had around the freshman quads was real cool. I mean everywhere we went people would notice us around the campus because we always traveled in packs like wolves. On an average, we would be like ten deep wherever we went. And we went everywhere together. We went to football games, basketball games, to the clubs n parties, out to eat, and all other great places. My boys on the 6th floor was like my family away from home and that meant alot to me because this was my first time going to school away from school and I didn't know nobody except for the people I went to school with back in the day. So to make a bond with some strangers like that is something special and very epic to me. I will always remember that and think back on how we beame so cool with each other like we have known each other for years. This is what college is about though, comin to get a higher learning of eduaction, meeting new people, and going through different experiences. I can't wait to see what the spring semester will bring when I come back from the christmas break. Because if it's anything like the first semester, then it's gojng to be real fun and exciting.
The Big Three
Last year before the 2007 basketball season started, everybody was talking about the big trade that went down in the NBA. The trade was that Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen were traded to the Celtics to be alongside with Paul Pierce. People were saying that the trade wouldn't work because each superstar was selfish and probably wouldn't cooperate well as a great unit. So all during the season, that was the main focus in the NBA last year. Each member of the The Big Three were all stars in the situation and team that they were on. Ray Allen was a former star of the Seattle Supersonics and Kevin Garnett was a star for the former Minnesota Timberwolves so that means that they both were major scoreres for their respective team. When they got together on the Celtics, alot of questions were to be answered. How would they distribute the ball and who would be the person to have the ball in his hands with the game on the line. As the season progressed, the Celtics were running and gunning the whole season and went into the playoffs. They faced the Atlanta Hawks in the first round and made it to the second round against the Cavaliers. They beat them and went to the third round against the Pistons. They beat them to advance to the finals were they would renew a historic rivalry against the Lakers. They won the NBA title and answered all the questions the critics had. Now the question is will they be able to repeat as champions? I was glad to see The Big Three get a championship ring because they didnt on their former teams, so thats what made the championship win so much better to them
Home Sick
I had a nice thanks-giving break. After class, i packed my little things, hit the highway, and drove home for the holiday. When i made it home, I went to get a fresh cut from the barber shop. Then i headed and paid a visit to my cousin's house, whom I am very close to. I mean me and him are like brothers from another mother, even though we are first blood cousins. We were chilling because I was back in town and he was very glad to see me. So we kicked it then I left and told him that I would be back and spend more time with him later on in the week. I amde it home and jus fell out and laid across my bed because I was very happy and glad to be home and so was my mom. Mainly while i was at home, I just rested round the house and got some great sleep. Upon thanks-giving day, I watched my mom prepare the food that we were going to eat for the holiday which was on a thursday this year. I saw good looking food that I love to eat like mac n cheese, dressing, collard greens, patato salad, and fried corn. She had sweets like sweet potato pie and a half portion of caramel cake. On the holiday before we ate, we gave thanks and enjoyed eating our food and watched some great football games. I saw my team the Cowboys win and play well. That friday night, I went to my high school football game because they were in the 5A state playoffs. It was a packed game with a attendance of 7,000 plus and coverage by WLBT news. We lost the game by three, but it was good to be there with my friends i graduated with last year. Then i shot basketball with my cousins and watched some football games on sunday. Then came back to school for the last week of school. I am so home sick right now, I can't wait to go back home.

Thanks-Giving Holiday
I can't wait to get out of school for the thanks-giving holiday break. Next week we get out of school on tuesday then the break is for wednesday, thursday, friday, and come back to school that monday. Im so ready to come home that i left school this friday because i go home evry other weekend and this is my week to come home. Im always homesick but I am really going to enjoy when we got out of school for the holiday. Around this time, my family and I all gather at my garndma nana's house and celebrate the holiday by eating good food, enjoying each other's company, and giviing thanks back. I wish that the break would be longer but I will still cherrish and enjoy the prescence of my family members. I can't wait to eat on that spicy cajuan turkey, with dressing with the cranberry sauce on top, ham, mac n chesse, greens, and the deserts. I am gong to eat so good this break, I might gain like 10 to 15 pounds. I love the desserts from sweet potatoe pies, lemon maraine pie, pecan pie, cake, and other sweets my family and I consume on thanks-giving holiday. And i will get a chance to watch some great football action as well. There can be no better combination than that excellent food and hard-hiting football action. My team the Cowboys play on this thanks-giving so I will be tuned into and cheer them on to victory because I still believe that the Cowboys are going to the Superbowl. But this is just an experience I can't wait to endeavour when the holiday come on and roll by because I'm so ready

My Favorite Comedians
I like watching funny movies, stand up comedies, and great comedians. Two of my favorite comedians are Dave Chapelle and Will Farell. These actors stand out the most to me. Dave Chapelle had a hit comedy series called Chapelle Show that had the whole world rolling wit laughter and entertainment. His shows use to be broadcasted on Comedy Central, but problems between him the company made him to go a different route. The company paid Chapelle fifty million dollars because of his show was such a success, making him the highest paid comedian ever. Every episode on Dave Chapelle's show taught a lesson and came out very amuzing. That was Chapelle's tactic, he mostly based his jokes on racism, but in a humorous way not in a racist way. But Chapelle hasn't put out any new material out lately, since the fall out between him and the producers at Comedy Central. Chapelle claimed that the company didn't fully give him total control of the skits that would be aired on TV. So reporters say that Chapelle just up and left leaving his co-comedians to host the unrealeased episodes that were very aired. I hope Dave Chapelle comes back ASAP comes the comedian game is the same without him. He had a talent that couldn't be matched and had the whole world buzzing. My other comedian that enjoy watching and laughing at is Will Farell. He got his start by acting skits out on NBC's historically famous show Saturday Night Live, which has been aired since the 1980's. Then Will Farell has been in hit-making comedic films every since. He has that it factor that makes him so unique. I have other comedians that I love to watch but these two are my favorites of all time.

First Black President
The big presidential election was on November 4, 2008. Presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain both ran for office at the White House. This election was the biggest phenomenon in presidential election history. I became part of history because my voice was heard as I exercised my right to vote for democratic senator Barack Obama. Barack Obama made history by being the first black candidate to be nominated in either party. To be a good president you have to have honesty, integrity, intelligence, leadership, judgement, and patriotism. Obama possesses these qualities and that is what made him stand out to me. Race or color doesn't affect this election just because he's an African American. He won the elcetion and made history as being the first African American to serve as president. He became the 44th president of the United States. I didn't vote for him just because he's a black man, but because of what changes he intends to do for our country. Right now, the United States is in a recession. Foreclosure is at a record high, gas prices are as high as ever before, people can barely afford food on their tables, and college tuitions has skyrocketed. This affects the middle class such as my family. I think Obama stands for all races and will make change for everyone

That Special Girl
I was chiiling with one of my friends and he was telling me about this girl he grew up with. Her name was Kilyah but everybody called her Mi-Mi. She was a sight to see. She was light skinned with long pretty hair. Her hair was extra long because she was mixed. Her father was black and her mother was from the coast of Puerto Rico. My friend Darnell was over my house and we was just discussing about how we both had dat special girl that we grew up with. Darnell said that every guy wanted her but she didn't want to mess with any of the hoodlums in the area she grew up. Her mother told her to find a special guy that would like her for who she was and not because how you look. Her father was also hard on her about bringing those type of guys in the household. Darnell also mentioned that she was very great in school, you know the typical smart girl. She made good grades in school, she was on the cheerleader squad, and she was very athletic so she played sports. Kilyah was the type of girl you dream about and wanted to marry one day. Darnell wanted me to see her for myself and so he introduced us after a football game. The meeting between me and her was something epic and special. She was everything my friend said and plus more. Darnell liked her too, but she didn't see him as a guy she would want to be with, but when me and her looked each other in the eyes, we had a vibe with each other. I hope that this move wouldn't draw a wedge between Darnell and I. Then one day, she made a move on me and we been feeling each other every since. I told my boy Darnell about it, he took it kind of hard because he wanted her too, but got over it because me and him been tight since kindergarten. So he was happy for me. But it was strange how my friend described this special girl to me and she ended up being with me.

I need a Vacation
Every since the summer started, i been ready to go on vacation. I graduated from high school and jus made the transition to a freshman year in college that I'm in enjoying so far. Don't get me wrong college is goin to have its ups and downs, but so far i feel like im in a neutral situation. I seem to have lost focus in my classess for some odd reason. I can't get back on the right track for nothing. I jus need to get away from school and work for awhile to get back in stride. A vacation sounds like a great rememdy for this, and I know the perfect place I wanna go for a vacation. Chicago is my place where I wanna go. It's a fun place to go and it's my second home. I haven't been up there in two years so I can't wait to go back up there. I use to always go up there when i got out of school for the summer, but i couldn't go this year because i had a job and my manager wouldn't let me go up there. So i was kind of hurt because this was the second year straight that i didn't go up there beacuse i didn't go the year before that as well. Everytime i go up there i hang with my family and friends. It's such many things you can do in Chicago for the summer to have fun. They have so many festivals you can attend and taste all of the food in Chicago its really exciting. They have a Six Flags Great America theme park for amusement. My brothers and I have so much fun when i come up there because we only see each other when i come up there. When i get out of school for the christmas break, imma ride the train and go up there 4 christmas. It is so cold in the winter time, I see why it's called the WINDY CITY. I love it though, and the snow be pretty white but it piles up to your knees. Jus sayin everything about my vacation spot which is also like homecoming to me makes me wish i was up there right now. I can't wait to go up there because I'm stressed out and I'm so tired.

Who To Look Up Too?
I got this friend named Santana who i basically grew up with as a young buck coming up. He sat me down and told me about his testimony and his childhold. It's been a while since we just kicked it as good friends and talked but i was back in town and we had a little time to reflect, discuss, and walk back down memory lanes. He told his past and i told him mines. My testimony was a little like his's but he was way much deeper. He told me that his father wasn't always there for him and that his parents divorced when he was like eight years old. Santana's father moved to Chicago and it was just young Santana his mother. He obeyed his mother very much but he didn't have that father figure to look up to that could teach him certain aspects from life a father could that a woman couldn't. So he told me that he use to hang around his older cousins alot because they were his father figures in his life since his father wasn't there. They turned him from a young kid to a man at a young age. He explained to hang with them he would have to do some things that young boys his age wouldn't do. Santana not having no father to look up to, he made a quick decision to be down with his big older cousins. Santana told me that half of his cousins were gang members, use to pick fights, run away from the law, hang with girls all night, and shot ball. The lifestyle was too fast for him to handle, so Santana's cousins gave him a choice rather to be with them or do his own thing? And Santana chose to run with his family. He learned alot from them and he gladly acknowledge how they were there for him when his daddy wasn't. Santana was very emotional when we discussed this.

Rap Beef
What is rap beef? To some, it's a personal vendetta between two rappers who have a different view on a different subject, and to others it's just a friendly rap battle between two rappers. Critics believe that most of the beef is just talk between both rappers to boost the sales of their albums before they release and hit the stores. Some beef really is personally between rappers, thier location of where they from, or misunderstanding of words heard in another rapper's rhymes. A couple of examples of real and fake rap beefs are like the ones between Ja Rule and 50 Cent. That was a personal beef becaue both rappers grew up in the same neighborhood of Southside Jamaica Queens in Queens, New York. Ja Rule hit the scene first and made an impact on the rap scene, while an up and comin rapper who was recently released from prison was ready to put an imprint on the game. Diss records went back and forward from both rappers until 50 cent gained the upper hand and put a silence on rapper Ja Rule and now Ja Rule is no longer revelant in the rap game and 50 Cent is making millions of dollars, movies, has a clothing line, video games, and a book. Another rap beef that was personal was between two legends in 2pac and Biggie Smalls. This beef was so major that the two rappers had both coast on their sides for 2pac he had the west coast and for biggie smalls he had the east coast. The rappers were close friends until the relationship fell apart and then the two became rival rappers. But tragically the legend rappers beef lead to a demise of both rappers been fatally shot on the passenger sides of cars. After two of the best rappers died, rappers have tried to come together and end the violence of rap beef and coming to peace amongst themselves. Rap beef still continues on today but now days they are just trying to prove who is more real between the two artists.

Long Time Coming
It's been a long time coming for me. It all started in a small town called Canton, Mississippi where i called home. The date was January 2, 1990 in St. Dominic's Hospital at 4:35 a.m. was when I was introduced to this world. I called canton my home for 10 years, it was where I was born and raised and the old timers told me as a young buck to never forget where you come from. I went to three schools in canton before I moved to my second home of Jackson, Ms. My first school was called The Discovery Center where I went for Pre-K. Next, I transcended to a catholic school called Holy Child Jesus School. I went here for first and second grade. The good thing about that was that the school was down the street from my grandma's house on my daddy's side and I loved that. After I did my two years, I got a taste of the public school system and went to Canton Elementary School for third grade. Then, my mama and I moved to another city of Mississippi named Jackson where I changed schools and met new friends. I moved into some apartments named Willow Point in North Jackson. I went to North Jackson Elementary school for fourth and fifth grade. Then, I progressed to middle school and went to Powell Middle School for six, seventh, and eight grade. I got promoted from there and went to Callaway High School and went there just only my ninth grade year before I moved to Madison and went to Madison Central High where I went from tenth to twelfth and graduated.

Madison Central High School vs Clinton High School
This week in high school football, my school where I graduated from Madiosn Central High School plays our rival Clinton High School tonight. This rivalry has been going on since the beginning when the two schools first opened back in the day. The game is always packed on both sides of the field. The schools are such bitter-rivals that both schools mark the game on their football schedule as the most important game of the season. The most important thing on the line from the game is bragging rights for the school that wins. The intensity of the rivalry is felt in the air when both schools meet and play. For instance, the fans, coaches, teaching staff, and etc... are very emotional about the game. I remember the first game I attended between the schools it was one I would never forget. It was a home game for us that night, and I was deep with my friends and some dudes from Clinton had came and sat on the home side of Madison Central and they were pretty deep themselves. Sometimes at the games between the schools, fights break out because everybody wants to prove that their school is better than the other. Extra security is provided at the games either if there at MC or Clinton, when the games are hosted in Clinton it's a whole new atmosphere. Last year, when the game was in Clinton, we won by one point and Clinton was very mad. So tonight the rivarly continues and the game will be at MC and I already know the game will be super-packed.

Legendary Basketball Player in Gym
It started in my tenth grade year in gym class where my status to becoming a great legendary player in gym would rise. I had jus transferred from my old high school Callaway High School in Jackson, Ms to my new school Madison Central High School in Madison; Ms. The school went from tenth to twelth grade, so i was a freshman at the school even though i was in the tenth grade. Since my schedule was easy, I had to take gym because i knew they were going to play basketball in the class. Since i was an under classman, I jus started off easy by playing pick-up basketball games and games of 21. I knew I would be recognized by an upper classman and be asked to run the "big floor" which was full court in gym. Finally, that day I had been waiting for had finally come when a senior saw me playing a pick-up game and asked if I wanted to run on his team and i replied with a yes. I was ready to contribute to his team, so I just took my skills I learned from basketball camps of famous basketball players like Michael Finley and Tim Hardaway. I was taught ethics by Juawan Howard, Tyson Chandler, Steven Hunter, and Mark Cuban. I played two games on the senior's team and we won both of them and he said he liked my all around game and tole me I was a good player, so I took that and ran with it. Every since that day, my status rose to something really amazing throughout my senior year that I am very happy and satisfied with. Those great features I performed and witnessed in those gym classes from tenth to twelfth grade, are memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I received praise from numerous amount of people who asked me why I didn't try out for the team and I just told them that I'm a legend in the gym, which some people couldn't claim or crown themselves.

Lil Wayne-Best Rapper Alive
After dropping the third series to his annual cd, The Carter 3, Lil Wayne is crowned the "The Best Rapper Alive". The cd had been highly anticipated since last year. The Carter 3 was released this past early summer on June 9, 2008. Because of heavy bootlegging and internet leaking of the tracks for the C3, the album was finally released this summer. Speculations on why the tracks were leaked on the internet was because rapper Lil' Wayne disrespected all the mixtape dj's and so to get back on him they spilled his tracks from his new album before the release date of the album. After hearing all this, Lil Wayne had to redo and come up with new songs for his highly anticipated Carter 3. Rumors in the music indusrty proclaimed that this cd would take the rapper to the next level. The critics were right. After the release of the Carter 3, even with heavy leaking and bootlegging, in the first week, the album sold over a million copies in one week. With these numbers from the sound scan, Lil Wayne is the hottest rapper out right now. Many critics have agreed and disagreed wit the rapper labeling hiself as "The Best Rapper Alive", because some has taken that moniker as disrespect to the legendary rapper Jay-Z. But with a collaberation with Jay-Z on the Carter 3, many have left that argument alone about Wayne's moniker. If you think about it, most people agree wit the rapper sayin he's the best beacuse of his album sales and his unique flow to rip and destroy beats.Lil Wayne is most known for his similes and metaphors in his rhymes and freestyles. The Carter 3 has spectacular beats from producers like Kanye West, Cool n Dre, Diesel, and Mistro. The cd also had guest appearances from rappers like Jay-Z, Babyface, Static Major, Busta Rhymes, Brisco, Bobby Valentino, J-Gutta, and T-Pain. After dropping mixtape after mixtape, Lil Wayne has released 100 of free songs to the fans to build up for his cd, which went platnium in one week. The question now is what is next for the hottest and best rapper alive in the hip-hop world today? Lil Wayne is on his route to becoming one of the greatest rapper to ever rhyme on the mic.

Dallas Cowboys:Superbowl Contender or Pretender?
Are the Dallas Cowboys for real this season? There are high spectations for "America's Team" this season in the NFL. The cowboys had the most pro-bowlers on there team since the 1970 NFL merger with 13 pro-bowlers. With key additions, like the arrival of stars such as rookie running back Felix Jones, rookie cornerback Mike Jenkins, 13 year veteran linebacker Zach Thomas from the Dolphins, and the suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones from the Titans, who is still awaiting reinstatement from NFL commissioner Roger Goddell who suspended Adam Jones for a year and a half for abusing the NFL conduct policy. But the big question on everybody's mind is that will the talented celebrity quarterback Tony Romo finally deliver and produce wins the post season for the Cowboys. After back to back losses in the post season, many critics have questioned Romo's ability to lead the cowboys to the superbowl this year. The Cowboys are selected as the team to represent the NFC in the superbowl, but is that to early to say wit up and coming teams in the NFC emerging. If you look at the offense and defense of the team most people would say they are goin to win the superbowl hands down. Romo has veretan receivers to throw to like Terrell Owens, tight end Jason Witten, and Patrick Crayton, who dropped a critcal pass in the NFC playoff game against the Giants, who are the superbowl 42 champions. Many speculate that the cowboys are looking for a talented wide receiver to line up opposite Terrell Owens, but Patrick Crayton says he uses dat as fuel to his fire to never let that drop reception happen again. So i can't wait to see what happens this season for the Cowboys on there quest to play in superbowl 43 in Tampa, Florida.
